About This Unofficial Fan Site

Seattle Hockey Tidepool is an independent, unofficial fan-run news aggregator for Seattle Kraken hockey. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by the Seattle Kraken, the NHL, the AHL, the ECHL, or any team, league or publisher. It is not an official team site.

How it works

Every 12 minutes or so, the site checks public news feeds for Kraken stories, removes duplicates, sorts each headline into a section using simple keyword rules, and links you to the original article. We show only the headline, the publisher, the time, and at most a one-line teaser. Full stories always belong to and live at their publishers, so please read them there.

Sections

• Transactions: trades, signings, extensions, waivers, call-ups/assignments, front office moves.
• Injuries: IR/LTIR, day-to-day updates, surgeries, timelines.
• Minor League Affiliates: the Coachella Valley Firebirds (AHL) and Kansas City Mavericks (ECHL).
• Team News & Misc: game stories, features, analysis and everything else.
• Standings: from the NHL's public standings feed.

Automatic sorting isn't perfect. A story can show up in more than one section, and now and then one lands in the wrong place.

We don't use team or league logos, wordmarks, jerseys or official photos. Team and league names appear only to identify the news being linked; all trademarks belong to their owners.
